TFPD Division's

Patrol Division
The Patrol Unit of the Twin Falls Police Department serves as the primary response unit, providing professional law enforcement services and handling the majority of calls for service within the city. Patrol officers work closely with the community to maintain public safety, prevent crime, and support a high quality of life for residents and visitors.

Criminal Investigations
The Criminal Investigation Division is responsible for investigating major crimes and reviewing felony and select misdemeanor cases for follow-up. When a case is deemed solvable, it is assigned to investigative personnel with the goal of providing thorough investigations and professional service to crime victims.

STAR Team
The Strategic Traffic Accident Reduction Team focuses on reducing traffic collisions and related injuries through targeted enforcement, education, and community involvement. The unit consists of specially trained officers dedicated to addressing traffic safety concerns and improving roadway safety throughout the city.

S.W.A.T
The Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team provides specialized support for high-risk incidents that exceed the capabilities of standard patrol operations. The team is composed of highly trained officers focused on resolving dangerous situations safely while assisting other divisions when needed.

Hazardous Devices Unit
The Hazardous Devices Unit is responsible for responding to explosive-related incidents and other dangerous materials that require specialized handling. The unit consists of specially trained personnel who support public safety operations, assist other specialized teams, and work to safely resolve high-risk situations.
